Hello All,
I have a frag of GSP that I placed in my tank about a month ago. At first, it seemed to be fine. Opened in the day, closed at night. Lately, it is closed most of the time, and when it does open, only about half do.
I took it out last night to get a good look at it, at it appears that a good number of the stalks have some sort of a hard substance attached to them. Like a scab attaches to a wound. I cleaned them off best I could (tweezers and a soft bristled toothbrush), and put them back in.
Of course, they have not open yet since the cleaning, but my concern is, what is this stuff? I have noticed my hermits on top of the GSP mat every so often, but I have not heard of hermoits eating GSP.
Any suggestions or comments?? TIA
