I Have had a open trachy for a 4-5 months now and for a month, i have noticed that its digestive filaments have been coming out of small holes in the sides 2-3 inches above the base, but under the visible part of the polyps. Do i need to worry about this, or is this natural?

does it happen when you feed the fish or corals? or is this happening all the time? do you target feed?

it happens all of the time. the filaments do not so far from the coral, but stay in a ball and go no farther than 1 cm from the flesh. i do spotfeed. 1 cm of shrimp per polyp (3)

how often do you target feed? i found that when i target fed often and when i cut back to once a week they stopped doing it.

I used to do it every other day, but im too lazy to feed that much. probably 2 times a week. Have you had the same problem?

i noticed my corals doing it as i was feeding them more often so now i cut back to even once everyother week.
