the tests may show low nutrients, but that is normally because the algae is consuming the nutrients as fast as they are introduced into the tank. what exactly r your nitrate and phospahte levels. how much dop you feed and do u have a skimmer?
how llong has the tank been set up? new tanks can take a while to balance nutrient consumption. untill the tank has a large enough biodiversity to consume waste and food in the tank, the algae has no competition for nutrients.
cut down on feeding for now and decrease the lighting as much as possible for thetime being. do not scrub it off in the tank or u will spread it even further. u can removethe rock and ecrub it off in a seperate container if u like.
