Hair algae limiting nutrient?

Have there been any studies done on a possible limiting nutrient for hair algae? If so can you refer me to them. It would be a wonderful thing to know. :) If not, maybe I will have to do some studies on this subject.
 
Look up "Billsreefs" he is one of the members herre on RC and very knowledgeable on marine plants and i am sure he can direct you in the right direction.
 
Whiteshark there are quite a few algae limiting nutrients. I can name a few, Bill would know more. Iron, nitrogen, phosphorous and
Potassium. Without any one of these. plants will not grow.
Of course, light helps :lol:
And water of course :mixed:
 
I was just wondering because there have been studies done on freshwater alga that have one limiting nutrient.
