I have a small hammer coralin my tank, it has 2 branches, and one of the bt=ranches is melting away.
It doesnt open, and i can see filamentous stuff coming off of it,kinda purplish in color.
The other head seems fine, but ...what is it?
what should i do?
Cut off the sick head, maybe?

yes,i have a greenmushroom, some star polyps, a yellow one that was given to me, but do not know what it is (see pic)

maybe someone can identify, there is a red seastar, an enmerald crab, a clownfish, a strawberry pseudochromis and a six line wrasse.
Ammonia 0,
Nitrate 0
nitrite 5
ph 8.0
temp 78.5
Calcium 400

Every other coral and critter seem to be doing ok.

looks like a scroll coral

---What about your light?

I would put a maxi 600, 900, or 1200 in there for a little more flow

tank is still relatively new.....are you sure your at all "0's"?
i would add more flow and move the hammer higher up...
