Hanna checkers review

I just ordered the Hanna reef checkers from bulk reef supply and recieved them yesterday. I got the calcium and phosphate tester. Overall I LOVE them, they are very easy to use (the calcium has a couple extra steps) but honestly I thot the hardest partway pouring the powder reagent into the vial. The rest is very simple.

Here are some pictures on how to do it: (calcium)

Everything is packaged very nicely!

This checker is very unique because it uses RO/DI water to calibrate it and only 0.1 mL of tank water.... The first step it to fill the vial with 1mL of reagent A and then fill the rest of the vial with RO water until it reaches the 10 mL mark.

When the meter says C2 with "add" and "press" blinking at the top. When you see that remove the vial and add .1 mL of tank water and contents of the reagent B packet, shake for 15 seconds and then let rest for 15 seconds. Put vial in tester and hit the black button and your calcium concentration will appear.
(I know mine is high, I have stopped dosing calcium to wait for it to go down a bit.)

The phosphate is much easier. First add 10 mL tank water to the vial. Place in tester and hit the black button to caliberate the meter. Remove vial from tester and add the contents of one reagent packet. Shake until particles dissolve (shake fast because the meter turns off after 2 minutes of inactivity which is a pain but after you know how to do it, it goes quick.) place the vial in the tester and hold the black button until the timer appears. Wait the three minutes and ur reading will appear.

Overall I love them, I have used them a couple times and got the same results. Very accurate and easy I hope you liked the review!
