harlequin shrimp and asternia stars

i have a few hunded asternia stars in my tank, if i put a harlequin shrimp in,do u think the reproduction speed of the asternia stars will maintain its diet or will he eat all the stars sooner or later...

He will probably edeplete the population sooner or later, and Asterina are really too small to make a food item, so he has to eat a bunch at each time he wants to feed. He will deplete them. Why do you want them out? is it just an overpopulation issue?

With my luck my LPS would eat the Harlequins.

i like harlequins... i think their color pattern is awesome... and my tank has a lot of stars, so i was hopiing to find an equilibrium....
