Has anyone made their own glass tank?

What I would like to build is 60x30x24 with the overflow on the back since they're so expensive I would like to do it myself.

Glass cages is cheap, but you'll pay for it in customer service and accuracy. My tank showed up wrong, chipped, and then they gave me attitude. you'll find dozens of other people on reefcentral with the same experience. they might be able to build it for only slightly more than it will cost to make yourself, but do some research on them first. I personally will never deal with them again.

60"X30"X24" can be ordered drilled, and/or with overflows, however you choose, along with instructions on how to assemble it. (it will arrive in sheets) and you still get to build it yourself.
ive got one of their tanks in my living room, and the price was dirt cheap, and not a scrath or chip anywhere. :)

Glass cages is the cheapest, but also they are the cheapest. Then there is Miracles in glass and Aquarium Obsessed, but Miracles wanted well over $1000 for my 48x30x24"h starphire tank. So I built it myself for about $600... eurobrace, starphire, and all. The local glass shop is a distributor for starphire though, so the price was pretty low compared to most.

If you use starphire, just be sure to pick up a short-wave UV lamp to make sure the tin sides face out.
