If you are referrng to how nice and infalted it looks. I belive that is how they filter feed. They intake water filtering it as they take it in...if the food is in the water collumn long enough they may go though sever inflation-deflation cycles.

I thought candy cane fed through feeder tentacles mine always grab stuff out of the water colum.

That is how I typically feed mine, with small pieces of mysis. However, I've noticed that when I add rotifeast to feed my SPS most of my LPS react by what looks like them "puckering" their mouths and really expanding...makeing me think that they are doing some filter feeding...

Are you sure that there aren't some vermetid gastropods between the heads that are sending out that mucus string? I've never seen my candy cane send out anything like that.

OK, switched to a differnt PC with a better monitor...now I see the stringy looking stuff...and I have no idea what's going on there...

Yea, the stringy stuff.....I have had this thing for over 5 years...It did started releasing this stringy stuff only 2-3 minutes after I put in Oyster eggs (the first time in this tank...

I'd actually guess sperm.. waste is usually not so white but i don't think i've seen my trumpets make any. Hmm, so interesting!

Mine does that, too. So does my frogspawn. Just doing a water change will cause it. I told some others about it and they thought I was crazy.
