Has the price of clams gone up; supply decreased?

I've been out of the hobby for a year or so and it seems like prices have gone up a lot. For instance, I bought my 4" Crocea for $50 two years ago. At the LFS, 2 inch clams are selling for $30+ and 4" clams sell for $65+. So has the supply decreased and if it has, why aren't people aqua-culturing these?

A lot of clams are aquaculture now. Croceas are rarer in the hobby at this point. I do not really think the clam prices have gone up I think it is shipping costs rising and other costs driving things up. I have not seen an increase in my area some times increase can be by region.
