90 gal bowfront. Have a purple bubble tip, that has a pair of gold band maroon clowns hosting. Both are doing well and take care of each other.

Have been told that I can add another BTA in tank.

Can I?
Can I put it next to other BTA or on same rock?
Can I put a new 1 in a differnt location.
If different BTA, will they co-exist?
Will this freak out my clowns?
What if new BTA moves to another location, will this disturb my clowns have 2BTA's in 2 different place?

Thanks in advance.

Assuming that your water parameters stay in check and you have quality lights, you can have as many BTAs as you want. There will be no issues with mixing color morphs of the same species of anemone --- touching won't be an issue either.

In the past I have had more then one (( about 10 over all )) BTAs (( green and red )) in the same tank. I have also done 2 different color morphs of LTAs in the same tank without issue. Currently have 2 Haddonis in one tank, and 2 more in another -- again no issues.

sorry for the back & forth, but can they host in each? Can the pair of clowns split, and each take a BTA? I would hate for the pair to split/fight etc.

Clowns love the current BTA, I would love to add another but worried about clowns.

No worries about the back and forth.

I don't want to promise that there won't be any fighting, but I would be surprised.

Back when I had my Clarkii pair with a bunch of BTAs, they would switch off, and sometimes the male would sleep in one, and the female in another --- that never effected their spawning behavior.

Currently my SI True Perc pair splits time between 2 Haddonis, though they do tend to spend more time in one compared to the other one. When I added the second one they both checked it out, but never acted different towards each other.

Don't know about maroons, but I do know of a pair of tomato clowns in a LFS who live in a large system with several anemones. The female has claimed one or two for her own and chases her mate away from them unless she wants to spawn. I don't know if this has anything to do with the number of nems in the tank, or if it's just typical tomato clown behavior (I've never kept them).
