Alright all you Large tank owners, (for this thread 300gal +) I want to know how many of you have managed to keep your tank. I always wonder, especially on 1000gal+ tanks how many times people either end up breaking these big boys down due to high costs, too much electricity, humidity, space issues, or any other unforeseen factors.

Please state the size of your tank, and how long you have had it up

or

Size of your tank, and the reason you had to call it quits.

Thanks,

Before my 340 (440 Total water), I had an inwall 260 (360 Total Water),

This tank was set up for 7 years, then I sold the house.
I moved everything because the new owners didnt want it and put it in a new 340

My old tank was a 180g plumbed to a 400gal system that was up for about 3 yrs. Ended up breaking it down to move to our new house. There wasn't enough room in my office so I settled for a 150g plumbed to 250-275g system. Tank costs ran anywhere from 100-200/mo. When we sold our old house and disclosed our electric bills we had to explain why they were so exorbitant.

Plans are being forged for a 310g in wall once I get around to finishing our basement.

I had all my tanks in Denver, Colorado. A 180 gallon, 150 gallon, 75 gallon, 30 gallon, and a 24 gallon. Moved everything here to Seattle Washington and sold off my 150 gallon and replaced it with a 300 gallon..

Thanks Erik
