not a sponge.. it's a bleached out branch rock that I used to glue them in... I'm not really sure what's going on either.. sure hope it's not an alien.. LoLz.. :lol:

I'll keep you guys posted.. I'm also guessing that it's about to have quadriplets (sp?)...

I have some GPE do something like that right after I got them. It wasn't quite that bad but everything was fine after a while. I didn't do anything with it, just left it alone and it cleared up and I've had plenty of growth since.

my desert fox paly's has the same thing. the base swells up like crazy. mine does that from time to time, then goes back down.
