Having trouble getting zoa/paly to open fully

I didn't think the paly's looked that bad.
Maybe just give them some more time?

I don't think they look that bad either. These things are probably one of the most undemanding corals out there. As long as your lighting is sufficient and your parameters are within reason they should flourish. Just leave them alone for awhile and see what happens. If you haven't tried feeding them yet you might want to give that a shot. Anything meaty will be much appreciated. Be careful though, like mentioned above these things can get out of hand real quick. Well after the initial scrubbing and relocate to a shadier spot,, I havent touched or moved them,, most of them are now opening fully and looking alot better... thanks to all for the advice

guess I need to work on my patience
