what size watt heater should I use on a 30L?

I would use anywhere from a 100-150 watt. Generally, in the south, anywhere from 3-5 watts per gallon is plenty.

Good rule of thumb is 2-3 watts per gallon or 3.79L.

100-150 Watt is a good range (As Amphiprion said). A 50 Watt may not be able to keep up in the winter if you let the house get real cold.
