A few weeks ago, I added my first crocea clam to my tank. For the first few days, the mantle was out and looked great. Day by day, I noticed the mantle was not as open. I've been moving it around since trying to get the mantle back out. I have a 250w 10,000k HQI and 2 65w actinics. I also have quite a bit of flow in the tank.
I first positioned the clam directly under the halide, and it kept falling on its side and turning around. I moved it to an area of a little less flow and it still continued to fall over and the whole time, the mantle would never fully come out. Now I have it a little higher in the tank, and still no mantle.
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. I will try to get a couple pics up over the weekend.
