HELP!!! millions of white things! NOT DUST

ive noticed that i have hunderd and thousands of these little white things crawlin around.

there about 2mmlong, absolutly tiny, white, and are crawling and occasionally twitching, all over my live rock and my pump.

any one know what they are?

are they bad?
ill try and get a photo.

It sounds like pods. Signs of a very healthy tank. How old is the tank? They could also be hydroids.

my tanks been up and runnin since erm....min january this year! it cant be a healthy tank

so im assuming its bad

If those are copepods, rejoice, for thy fortune is great indeed. They're the favored food for all sorts of small reef fish that otherwise cannot be kept.

ok it looks like the good pods. from what ive googled.

but heres a pic coz there so small i couldnt focus on them too well

ALSO - that black/purple algae, ive had loads of that for a while, got snails other day and seems to be going down. will they take care of it?
if not is it bad?

The white guys still look like pods to me...good stuff. The other is kinda hard to tell because of the lighting, but looks like cyano to me. Not sure.

Yes all is GOOD.

the pic looks more like amphipods, they are good as well. the algae looks like cyano to me as well. should clear up on its own.
