help ro/di tds test????

Correct, your mixing barrel or tub will have some residual salt that will run up the count.

I've heard people opine that anything under 010 is acceptable. Mine regularly read 002 until I replaced the carbon, prefilter, and DI resin. Now it always reads 000.

I assume you are putting test water directly from the RO/DI unit into a clean, rinsed (no soap residue,) glass to take this reading, and not dipping it out of your barrel?
 
cool, so my water is at least good now after six month of use the bad ro/di water, that may be cause my corals not very happy and some is gone. and my green kalupa turn white and die.

Your prefilters don't affect tds...
