Help, my frogspawn hasn't come out since last Fri. It still has all of its color and doesn't have brown jelly. My water params on Sat. were..

I had several corals that withdrew their polyps for a couple of days so I checked for everything. I found a leak in my tank and my top-off worked overtime. My sg went from 1.026 to 1.024 by Thurs. By Fri. I had my sg back up to 1.025. All the other corals are back to normal but the frogspawn has not come out at all. I have noticed the white things circled in the pic and can not figure out what they are. I can't tell whether it's a worm of some type or just the tissue folded up on itself. Should I dip this coral? Wait it out? Or is it too late? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Get the cal up just a little (420) and the following day, lift the alk a bit, would be my advice. Put it in chaotic medium flow, and not downwind of any softie or aggressive lps. I'm not too concerned with the white thing.

It's been established in my tank for 6 months. Only one softy in the whole 90 gal tank. Torch is the only other lps on the other side of the tank. Don't understand why it would close up like this and not open for almost a week. I don't think low calcium would cause the polyps to retract? Calcium's been down to 350 with no ill affects before. I try to keep my cal near 420.

I haven't moved it. No fish have been added in over a month. Same flow. The only thing different was the drop in SG but I have fixed that and all the other corals came around in a matter of a day or so.

The coral is probably just stressed due to the salinity/ph shifts and will bounce back. It is a good thing you found the leak!!

It is difficult to tell from the pic... Nudibranches have frilly backs and can blend in well to their surroundings. Check it closely! It is definately not brown jelly disease.

Is possible. Mr. Fenner seems to think it may be a nudibranch. I dipped it in slightly lower SG with 3x normal Lugol's solution on Fri. It looked much better by Sat. but still has not opened fully. I did not see any more of these "nudibranchs" on it so maybe the dip helped.
