I got this green hair algae growing like mad over past weeks...... anything out there that eats this stuff..... 1st it was only on sand bed on its on rocks too..... any ideas? thanks for any help
I figure there got to be somthing out there that will eat this stuff ...... thanks

sea hares do a great job in mowing the algae down. the only downside is they are toxic if they die, and I had one get ripped up by the intake of my powerhead. I was surprised to find that some of my turbos ate that stuff too. I had like 60 running around in a 75g tank.

tangs, lawnmower blennies, scarlet hermits are a few things that will grub on it. I would suggest trying to figure out what the cause of the outbreak is, but that can sometimes be easier said than done. Water changes always help. Good luck!
