Is it possible for a Euro Reef PS never to deposit waste in the collection cup in 5 years in my 265 reef tank??? Something seems wrong here. Help?

Does anybody out there have any experience with Euro Reef PS from 2000. I heard that the pumps were insufficent back then....is this true????

I'm not familiar with the PS but my ES5-2 dumps a cup to a cup and a half a week out of about 60gal, so it seems unlikely you wouldn't get anything with that many fish and corals in that volumn of water.

Yes indeed something is very wrong. This has been going on for years and my algea problem sucks! Any ideas? There should be lots going into the collection cup......you agree?

Definately agree there's a problem. Are you getting alot of foam that just never makes it high enough to enter the cup or is there no foam developing? You might want to post this in the Lighting, Filtration & Other Equipment Forum. Someone there may have more knowlege of your particular skimmer.

Yes there is foam, it just doent fall into the cup. Is it because its a 5 year old Euro reef????? I heard they had some problems way back when.
