ok i think we got the date for the tank move set, it will be either the 27th or 28th. here's my situation. i dont have an ro/di, and the tank is 155g, so i was wondering if i could bum a lil water from a few people, to get it set up. also, does anyone have a bucket of salt extra, that i could buy? i know there's a salt order about to happen, but it wont be here in time for the set up. and last but not least. does anybody have any big mixing containers (trash cans, tubs, or whatever) i could borrow until then?

i know i sound like a complete bum. i have been so excited about the upgrade, that i didnt take the time to really think the move through, and plan it all, and it didnt help that my financial situation didnt pan out the way i thought it would.
my job actually has 2 55g trash cans i could use.. they have been used for trash, but i was thinking about putting 2 trash bags in each and just using them. is that a bad idea?

i hope not...

i got trash cans to mix in, now all i need is someone to sell me a bucket(or about 120g worth) of salt, and some ro water...

I have a partial bucket of Kent I could offer you. I could also make you some water up, but it would take me a couple of days to make 120 gallons. I'd have to charge you something for that quantity, though, to cover the cost of replacement resins, etc. PM me if you'd be interested. Also, you'd have to come to Clinton to get it. LMK.

I have 2 brute trash cans. One 30g I only use for water changes (it's my measuring cup to let me know when to stop draining). The other (40g) has just sat on the back porch since I got my big tank. You can borrow them but they wont fit in your car. If Dave and Art havent already resolved your salt water issue let me know.

well... i got the trash cans, and im ordering an ro/di if my check posts in my account tonight, so those issues are hopefully taken care of. yall are so helpful.. i was stressed about this earlier today, but now i feel comfortable again.. i'll keep you all posted.
my internet is down at the hoouse, so i have to go elsewhere to get access, but i'll still be able to post daily

Chris, you "got the trash cans". Are you planning on using mine or using liners? If you are planning on putting rock in them you can count on having holes. If you are just doing water it "should" be ok but why risk it. I paid stupid money for the brutes ($70 if I recall) but they are not supposed to leach anything. Your still welcome to borrow them if you need them.
