Hippo Tangs Bred in Captivity!

Came across this article the other day and definitely worth the read - nat geo does some great work! Very interesting to see if we cant start rearing more of these amazing aquatic animals.

I talked to the guys that did it from Florida

They used the same procedure as what was used for the yellow tangs in Hawaii

A lot of research and trial and error went into it

I read an article about breeding the hippo tangs in captivity. I got the impression they are not talking about how they did it yet. Not that I am set up to recreate what they did but I would love to find out how they were able to make them happy enough to reproduce in captivity. I'm sure some of it is the care needed for the fry as well. It is an exciting prospect though.
