hot potato

Ron Popeil

Love them clownfish.
its been several days of hot in my tank, with at least one day where everything reached 88.9 degrees....result was several corals lost. my crocea clams seemed fine until day when the tank was at 85 degrees and one of my croceas looks...wilted.
ive already dropped the temperature down to 83.7 and im sure it will lower slightly more in the next hour or so, but...what else can be done?

if i manage to keep the temperature below 84 degrees can the clam get itself back together? what more can i do to assure its recovery?

thanks for anyones help.....

what type of lighting are you using? mh? do you have any fans on the tank? you may need a chiller but they are expensive.

Its amazing what a cheap fan can do. I have a 400w MH over a little 29 gallon with one 6 inch fan blowing across the water and the temp hasn't gone past 80.
