How can I color up my pearlberry?

I see, so every system has their desired levels?

What should I be aiming for to fix this situation?

People keep their Ca/Alk/Mg at different levels for a lot of reasons. Sometimes the salt mix they use mixes to a different concentration for these parameters yet is still in an acceptable range. Some husbandry practices require different levels than others, ZeoVit systems for example generally prefer a lower alkalinity than I like for my tank.

Once you get your test kits, it will be a lot easier for you to work on a fix. Your Ca/Alk/Mg might be totally fine.

IMO your problem is nutrients. But man, nanos are brutal on trying to keep things stable too. JM2C

Hey guys, I received my Salifert magnesium test kit through the mail.
The other tests won't get here until tomorrow. Should I test the magnesium now?

Guys my magnesium reads:

1230

That's not so good is it?

I think this is the problem.. I purchased v-ionic magnesium dose with the purchase of the test kits.. I will receive it tomorrow with the alk and calcium test kits.

Increase the amount of water changed. Start running some GFO. Even with undetectable phosphates the presence of hair algae and green corals has phosphates written all over it.

dKH: 7.0
Calcium: 375
Magnesium: 1230

so... I dosed two part right now, and some of the magnesium solution that I bought also. I will be testing again tomorrow.
