How did this happen??

I had put a pistol shrimp and goby in my tank and after a few months started to not like my dsb stirred like that. So I set up a 20g for them and have moved them there, but now there is still clicking in the main tank.

I have since started to notice that the pistol does not click as much in his new tank but the other is clicking away all day. I think I have figured out what side of the tank he likes but have not seen any of the tunneling that the pistol does. I have not noticed any fish misssing but there is a few shells in the back corner.

If it is a mantis, this gives me another reason for a new tank:D

Thanks in advance,
Dave

If you can find the rock the clicking is comming from you can fresh water dip it for a few seconds. If there is a mantis then he will probably jump out of the rock. Just make sure that you put him back in salt water right away.

I am not sure where he is, is there a way to lure him out. anyone have plans for a diy trap?? PLease help me find him.

Thanks,
Dave

There is a mantis trap on the market that has a trap door. It sells for about 20 dollars. I don't know any DIY traps you can make. The dip is the fastest way in my opinion. You just have to do it fast so the mantis is not in shock to long.
