How do peppermint shrimp find aiptasia?

dnguyen1

Will work for fish
I ask because I have a large piece that's on the opposite side of my 50g cube...I have no idea if he will find it.

He's eaten a few smaller ones.. but I'd love to see him go grab this one.

THanks

Smell.
Juvvies tend to eat the babies, but may farm the adults to get more babies.

There are a few species that farm.
There is a species of ant that farms fungus for food so no not that unusual.. still cool to think that a peppermint will do that though!

If it's not too much trouble to access that rock with the large aiptasia, I'd kill it now, instead of waiting for peppermints.

I just killed a couple of suckers by pouring boiling water on it lol.
It killed the coraline algae patch around the aiptasia but I consider it collateral damage.
