actinic lights on and get such great photo's.

i can never adjust the white/blue balace to look right.

and the photo's never show the true colors of the corals

Have you tried with the white balance set to daylight?
Not that reefkeeping is all that easy but aquarium photography? It can be tough!

i took about 100 shots making adjustments each time. after a hour or so i just gave up... hehe. i've got a great mili. i'd like to take a pic of but it never shows the true color. i'll keep playing with it.

If your camera allows you to shoot in RAW, then do that. Take one shot, and play with the WB in your software. That way you can try to re-create what your eye see.
