I would like to know how you would ship snails/coral/crabs from a warm climate (Florida) to a cold climate (California) at this time of year?
I ordered a CUC from a place in Florida 2 weeks ago. It came in a box with 1 heat pack, and a bunch of loosely crumpled newspaper.
The water was stone cold. Almost all of the Hermits had died, and only about 1/4 of the snails made it.
The vendor did the right thing and replaced the dead ones. The order came this morning...same way only no heat pack.
My question is how would you ship from Florida, where it has been in the 80's to California, where it has been in the 50's and 60's? (30's at night).
