How does Melev's overflow box get primed????

I am in the process of making it and im just not understanding how the water is going to raise over the side of the tank and into the drain . I figure it must need to be primed so i was wondering how its done . Here are the plans im building it by

you have to use a aqua lifter pump on that design

So hows it work where does the pump go? It doesnt say anything about a pump in his plans, well i didnt see it anywhere atleast. Thanks for the quick replies too.

are you a DIY guy. because if not you can get one real cheap off of ebay...

the U tube requires that you put a hose in the "drain" area up towards the top of the overflow and then suck till you remove all the air.. the water should start flowing .. becareful not to gag on water...

So wait are you telling me i dont have to buy a pump, im confused. I just dont got money to buy **** so I have to build it. LOL

try the sucking method... that should work, but the pump is only $10...
