How long for anemone to recover bleaching?

My GBTA isn't white but it is light colored. I haven't had any GBTA's for a year and saw one so jumped on it. It has purple tips where all my others I had were just green. It was not under bright lighting as the guy keeps them in holding tanks. Has a company out of his house, and got the GBTA in and I bought it after two days of him having it. Added it to my tank and my 96watts let me see that its a light color.. Has a kinda white clear foot, with green here and there. pretty much the same with the whole body. Kinda see through all over. I have been trying to get it adjusted to my tank lights. 4-24watt T5 HO over a 30gal tank. It seems to like no lights or just the blue lights, when the days come on it acts unhappy. Water is good tested it,water also comes from the ocean,so did the sand. Marinelab filters/UV's water and gives it out to the public. It eats when I feed it but doesn't seem straving. I feed it shrimp,as thats what my other GBTA ate and they got huge. Dropped my lighting cycle down too 6hrs total. Whats the deal is he every going to come around? Going on a month now..

also sometimes it will expel waste and it will let its foot go and then will roll around in the flower pot I have it in.

I have had many over the years. I had one (rbta) split, half went behind the rocks to emerge very bleached. It stayed at the far end of the tank away from the lights. When bleached they tend to dislike bright lights and need to gradually get used to them. It would not eat either, it had lost it's stickyness. I was finally (after weeks of trying) able get it to eat little bits of mysis. I kept feeding it small amounts every couple of days. It take a very long time for them to recover from a badly bleached state, sometimes they don't. If it is letting go and rolling around that is a very bad sign. Even though mine was sick, it never let go and floated. Can you post a photo? I will try to find the pictures of mine, it recovered completely and became a real beauty, I eventaully sold it. Is it getting any flow in the flowerpot? Obviously you can't blast it if it is not holding on but it needs water movement. I hope you have any powerheads' intake covered just in case.

Man I thought I'd never find a photo of the bleached rbta but I finally did. I have too many photos of my tanks. It still had a little color as you can see.

If memory serves, it is the smallest one in this photo (on the left) It took many months for it to recover.

You might want to try boosting the nutritional value of the food w/selcon or zoe.

Funny thing is for the first time all most all the tentalces were alittle bit bubbled.. Yes it gets flow in the pot,it can crawl out if it needed too. Nope not floating around the tank. Just sometimes lets go of the pot like when its expelling waste,or holds on with half of its foot. Did that since day one. Its by no means dieing. Yes it got into my one powerhead weeks ago I thought it would never go near so left it uncovered. In two weeks it healed perfect and didn't acted phased. Yes i can give the food boost a try and see. Its kinda fussy with eating, like just sits there and thinks. Hmm should I eat this,by that time the clown is pulling it out. But I did get it to eat after awhile.
