How many clams?

Is there a certain number of clams to be kept in a tank like with fish. Like amount of clam per gallon or something like that?

No, none at all.


Just as long as you keep calcium okay and have trace amounts of nitrate, your fine.

Clams are not like most tank inhabitants, they consume nutrients rather than produce them. So, provided you can keep up with their requirements, there is no limit to how many you can have.

Thanks for the responses. This is great news. I have a ca reactor so at least the calcium won't be a problem and my lighting is pretty intense maybe I'll add some more actinics.
