 I just got a 30gallon tank ,with 15 pnds of fiji rock, when the time comes, HOW MANY FISH WILL FIT IN MY 30 GALLON TANK???

I have a 30 gallon. I have 30 pounds of live rock and have added several soft and and a couple of SPS corals. I have 6 fish. They are fairly small, but this seems to be about the right number for my setup.

Totally depends on the fish...

Remember they grow, so what may seem ok now, may not be in the future...

Fish to consider for a 30 gallon:
Clowns
Gobies
Damsels

General rule for # of fish is 1 inch per 2 gallons of water, and you should allow more water for bigger bodied fish.......5 inches of clownfish is really different than 5 inches of a larger bodied species like a grouper or batfish.

Remember that they need room to swim and do their fishy thing. It also depends on how much live rock you've got and your husbandry. Most folks here have a 1:1 ratio of rock to tank volume. Also, you should figure out how much actual water volume you have with a volume calculator that subtracts your rock and sand:

Hope this helps. Try to go really slow with adding fish, research everything, and don't forget to quarantine. :)

Good Luck!

I bet if you took all the water out you could get 500-600 damsels in there. :)

It will start to smell pretty bad in a couple of days though.
