How much flow in my tank?

As my sig says, I have a 40 breeder that is a mixed reef, but it is heavily sps dominated. I currently have 2 Hydor Koralia Nano 425's, and 1 maxijet 400, and a return that is roughly 800 gph. My corals seem to be doing fine, but I feel like I need more over all flow in my tank. Should I exchange some powerheads for something stronger? Another issue is that I do have sand, about a 2-3" bed. Any suggestions as to the total turnover that is appropriate for an sps dominated tank?

You'll save yourself electricity and tank space as well as better flow with an MP10, I fought it for a long time but they are worth the investment.

It's hard to give them too much flow. For nutrient export I would be concerned first with eliminating any dead spots. Once that is achieved you can give them as much as your sandbed will allow. I have about 75x turnover excluding my return.

I'm still in high school and am leaving for college soon, so dropping 300 bucks on an mp10 is something I don't think I want to do. I might move my scape around first then, and see If i can position everything to remove dead spots. I'm fighting a HA outbreak right now as well, since my skimmer went down a week ago. I need to get a new skimmer asap...this is stressing me out lol
