How often do you clean your glass?

I found it could is probably the RODI water, if it even has 0.01 TDS it can still cause this brown powder on the glass. I found it burnt itself out when I do less water changes, also you lighting photo period, spectrum and intensity play a part. I found the best CUC to clear the sand bed completely of the brown powder was a strawberry conch (every reef tank with sand should have one)

How long I can go between cleanings is an indicator of what's going on in the tank. Every 2-3 days means it's right where I want it. More often indicates nutrients are creeping up. Less often means nutrients are getting too low.

I try to clean the front & side glass with a mag float two or three times per week. I do the back glass every once in a while. I clean coralline with a razor blade when any spot gets more than dime sized.
