How often do you perform water changes on hypo q tank?

I just set up a 10g q tank for my midas blenny due to ick. It has a internal filter and a heater. My salinity is now down to 1.016 and I will lower this gradually over the next 2-3 days to a final sg of 1.009. My question is how often do you perform water changes on a 10g q tank undergoing a hyposalinity treatment? Thanks.

i am having to do a water change every day...50%... otherwise the amm and nitrite builds up too fast

What about dosing Amquel? Would that work?
