How often do you replace sand?

We all know that deep sand beds are the blessing and curse of nano tanks. Over time sand gets removed from siphoning, aquascape changes, etc ... So how often are you replacing your sand bed?

How does never sound? Haven't lost enough to replace, certainly not going to change it out while I have a working tank.

On occasion I stir mine up, but not too often. I never have "needed" to add sand. I would say use a lighter touch if you are siphoning and if you are siphoning a lot of stuff off the bed then that could be a clue of a different issue.

Only in the case of a tank move/change with a major disturbance of the sandbed.

In my case that would be 3 years, 4 years, never, never.
