I am moving to a new location would like to bring my 55 gal. tank with but would sell my 29 gal. Eclipse tank.

My question is how do you relocate a 55 gal. tank without harming the corals and fish. Is it tru that when you stir the live sand, it gives off harmful chemicals to the inhabitants?

I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks.

How far are you moving? If it is local, get some rubbermaid cans and containers. Put the fish in one, corals in another. Put rock and sand in cans. Use the water out of your tank to cover rock and sand. Set the tank back up and run with skimmer for 24 hrs, using as much old tank water as possible. Keep a heater and powerheads on the fish and corals. It basically the same to move it from room to room or city to city unless the trip is more than several hours. Good luck.

Same as above, except I don't have a skimmer, so I run the pumps about an hour, then start adding livestock back into the tank.
