hi guys,im trying to make a canister filter out of a I.O bucket.i need suggestions on how to make a waterproof seal for the twist on top.it would need to be opened and closed from time to time for cleaning.thanks for any suggestions

if not use a marine grade silicone and make a "o" ring or bead around the top edge where the lid rests when it's tightened..........

oops! isaw the black gasket but didnt know if would seal completely.there will be some pressure inside im sure. just making sure .thanks anyway

i guess ill run the set-up past you guys for scrutiny.its simple.i want to put 2 bulk head fitting in the top of the bucket lid.1 for incoming tubing connected to a magnum 350 intake tube at the bottom of the tank, going all the way to the bottom of the bucket.the other bulkhead for the return water, connected to a inline pump on the outside of the bucket.see any problems with this set-up
