You can put small bits of LR next to the zoa's and they will spread then you can move the rock or the quicker way is to cut under the mat and then glue them to a new rock. I've also have just ripped them apart adn glued them.
Also most would say where gloves becuase of toxins.
I use one of those, uh , can't think of the name right now. It looks like a pencil with a razorblade on the end of it.
Anyway, you take one of those, cut the tissue you want. Then cut beneath the zoa, making sure to take a thin layer of rock with it. Then glue it down to a frag plug.
Or you can do the hammertime method as stated above. It's pretty hard to kill zoas.
if i were to frag zoas, i would cut my section with a hobby knife (i just like the handle, vs a scraper blade with no handle) and then peel it up.. they are pretty hard to kill im sure, but if you can be a little more exact or gentle the faster they will heal up and grow. (or so ive been told, with any coral)
