How well do Chrysiptera damsels do with each other?

If I put two Yellowtails / Azures / Talbot's etc. and add them at the same time, will there be a good chance that they'll pair up or at least co-exist? What about mixing species of Chrysiptera say 1 Yellowtail and 1 Talbot's? Note tank is under 100 gallons.

I'd suggest getting a group of six first, let them pair up naturally, and then add the pair to the tank. Damsels are relatively inexpensive fish, and as long as you work out an agreement beforehand with the fish store, you're probably going to be able to buy the fish, and return the non-paired ones.

I had two yellow tails together in a 20g without problems. I do not believe they paired up but just coexisted. Since I only did this one time I do not know if this peaceful behavior is typical or if I just lucked out.

Thanks. I’ll give two a go and hope it works well. Are they very long lived, easily living for 10 or more years?
