Hydor Skim Slim 65 too big for 24 gallon nano??

What do you think about using a Hydor 250.65 Slim Skim (rated up to 65 gal) on a 24 gallon nano cube?

I would go for the Slim Skim Nano (rated up to 35 gallons) but I found the 65 on craigslist brand new for $50.

Any suggestions? Anyone recommend a different skimmer altogether?

I've got it in my 40G tall and quite like it. It might be a bit large on the 24G though if it's the same filter as mine...

How deep of water is needed to keep the Slim Skim in? I know its 17 inches tall but how far from the bottom to the middle of the grates?
