I can not believe I dont have my skimmer yet

I ordered my skimmer 5 weeks ago and I was told I would have it in a week, I called 2 times and every time I call I get told it should be in in 2 weeks. So if im lucky I will have it in 7 weeks all together. To me thats crazy the reason I got that one is I thought it would be here in a week. I cant do anything until it gets here.IM real mad i still have alot to buy I have a tank set up and this is my second one and I need all kinds of stuff. Im real disappointed I planed on useing Marine Depot to get all my stuff but the way things are going I dont think I will.
The people on the phone are nice I dont have anything bad to say about them and im not one to complain but this is crazy.

Every time I have ordered stuff from them it goes the same day or next depending on when I place the order.
From the way it sounds they are waiting on the manufacturer to get them the probuct or it is drop shipped from the manufacturer either way sounds like it is probably not marinedepots fault but the maker. Marine depot is just the middle man waiting like you are.
What kind of skimmer did you get. You can call them and ask if there is a back order on what you ordered or ask marinedepot what is the hold up.

thanks for the reply yeah I called it is on back order I understand that it is just I cant set up my tank with out it and the reason I ordered that is I was told they had one in stock ready to go and that makes me mad.

5 weeks?!?! I'm one of the managers, and I grinded everybody's balls to trying to figure out what had happened with this. I'm sure you could imagine their relief when they were off the hook. Out of curiosity, did Custom Aquatics ever send you that skimmer after all this time? Please pm me whatever happened with this situation as I'm very curious. I'm sure I speak for the staff here as well.

I did get my skimmer and I also got something for the time it took. They made up for it.

The place I bought it from told me what the problem was and that they wish it could have been done faster.

Thank for all your help, I wish you would of been the sales man that I talked to about 2 weeks ago from Marine Depot. I told them I needed a light for my tank and explianed exactly what I wanted to them and they gave me a price. When I called to order I found out that the ballast I wanted was not the one in the price and could not be orderd. So I bought one from another place.

Dont get me wrong the sales people are very nice at Marine Depot.
