I hate to do this but....

I've recently gotten two bad orders from Drs.fostersmith. They of course made things right. It could have been the heat and/or Fedex's fault. But it is still frustrating. In one order I had a mandarian doa and a blue tang die a day later. The corals and lawnmower blenny included in that order are doing great though.

The second order is what really erks me. My brother ordered 4 black and white clowns (he's been waiting on those for awhile) and 4 seahorses. The clowns all arrived with what looked like velvet if that applies to saltwater fish. And one of the seahorses arrived unable to anchor with it's tail is turning white. He also ordered some coral that is also very successful.

Anyways, congratulations on customer service absolutely the best. But what is up with the pre shipment inspections???

I received a black and white clown with either velvet or brooklynella last week, too. That makes 5. I have no idea how many you ship out, but that could be a huge problem. Of course, if everyone (myself included) used QT, the results wouldn't be nearly as bad as they could be.

We appreciate your input and we wanted to let you know that we have checked fully into this situation with our shipper and are confident these are isolated cases. Thank you for your interest and we definitely agree that quarantine tanks are a great idea.

yea that happened to me too. the clowns got sick in their QT tank on day 2. and died a couple days later. i got my refund but sucks paying the shipping and having the fish die within a week.

Maybe it is something with the black clowns being so small I don't know. I got a couple from the frag swap event and they seemed to be eating but after a few weeks they were getting really skinny looking and died a real bummer. I really like these fish and would like to try again but don't want to just kill two more.
