Depends on what you're trying to do with it. It's generally used to lower excess nutrients (nigrate/phosphate). I'd do some research before getting some. Not that it will hurt your tank, just in order to avoid wasting time/money. Btw I would like to get my hands on some to try to export excess nitrates. If you find some let me know. I'm in Waterloo.
