My clam has always looked very healthy since I added it to my tank.
It is about a 5" Corsea and I noticed that it was not opening all the way about mid week last week,
My initial thought was that the Frogspawn was the culprit as it had grown and was not touching the clam.
I seperated the frogspawn and clam so they no longer touch.
My wife said that the clam still did not look good last night. Upon further investigation I noticed that the soft tissue on the inhalent side that joins the clam together i no longer there.
This could certainly explain why the clam is not fully opening.
I guess some good news is that he clam still has iit's exhalent out and does apear to be surviving.
My question is.. is there anything I can do for the clam to enable it to regrow this soft tissue?
Is my clam a gonner and it's just a matter of time?
What could have caused the soft tissue to get damaged?
