I think I can prevent the tank crackers

I have a 55 long and might get a peacock. I know they're famous for breaking glass, so what if I silicone plexi glass slabs to the inside of the tank walls. My grams. has a friend who cuts plexi glass. This should work, right?

I would doubt they could break the glass on a 55.

..I don't think you should have to worry about them breaking glass until they are 6+ " and even then it would probably have to be 1/4" or less glass.....in general i mean. I guess if a Mantis REALLY wanted to deliver a death blow to your tank or if you taped a picture of a crab on the outside....you never know. If algae got between those two layers of glass though it could get ugly.

You could, but IMO it would not be needed at all.

i was actualy thinking of putting a kiddie pool around the 10gal when i get my peacock..lol, i love them and did as much reading as 1 can but the only thing holding me back is the sound of glass breaking:eek2:
