bored4long , I also have to agree with you on that one. What do you do if they say no? that would be akward, because you know and they know you are going somewhere else.

then again I'm think any LFS would be willing to support a group buy for Mars. If I did not know the owner and never purchased anything then they might say no but If your a local and frequently puchase items Im sure they would be more than happy to match the price.

I've had the other ballast for 5-6yrs no problems..=) Although it only ran for about 3 of those since I was out of the hoby for a bit=) The main benefit for me is I want to run radiums and I cannot on one of my current ballasts=)
I usually do ask for my discount at the local LFS if I'm buying an amount of items that makes it worth it like say $50+ otherwise I don't bother... I like to support local business..

Well as a store owner.............why oh why I ask my self every day..........I am more offended by the people that come in on a Daily basis asking me how to hook up or fix something they bought online at another store or used garbage they know nothing about. Price shopping is just the nature of the consumer. If I can't match a price then I can't get mad at the customer ( I get mad at the wholesalers and/or Manuf.). But at the same time if it's only a $10 difference on a $100 item and you have a Good store you trust, isn't it worth spending the extra $10?

I could go on and on about this Industry but I will leave it at that. It was much more enjoyable as a hobby

Guys like you and John make spending the extra $$ worth it. Face to face customer service and fair pricing what more can you ask for? Well maybe an LE frag in the $15 section now and then would be nice....LOL
