IceCap 250w new style VS Lumatek 250w Digital Ballast

What's wrong with the IC ballast? Any reviews? I'm currently running 3 of them(250W) and am pleased with the results, but am always interested in increasing performance.

Ok, I talked to Danielle from Suncoast Hydrophonics, they are based on Florida, He sells on ebay . If we group buy this Galaxy we can get few bucks discount. Heres are the prices he quoted me..

Ferdie I wrote down these prices I will try to ask Your Reef Tommarow if He is in the shop which he most likely will be.
I didnt see that many 250 watt in the store the other day mostly 400 watt so if he does a buy to restock plus what everyone wants maybe it will be worth it to him ?
If he says no I have another source who might be willing to do this a LFS who I know is in the process of stocking his new store
and I will be seeing him Tuesday.

What makes you think they're made in Germany? IIRC Lumatek is a UK based company. Nearly all are made in Asia. Easy to find out though..email sent.

I have two of Radium 250's running on a Galaxy and two running on a generic e-ballast and they look identical to everyone who's looked at my tank.

Daniel is a cool guy and I'm sure he will be willing to cut everyone a deal just need to have all lined up. Ok Just got back from talking to John at YOUR REEF he said yes he would do this kind of deal.
I didnt get full details as he was busy and on his way out the door.
But he did say he would come on tonight to get details so anyone serious about getting them here local from a "RC Supporter and LFS".

Shop Local. It kills me that people don't even bother to ask the LFS if they can meet or beat prices. Before long when LFS are gone all the Etailers will raise there prices with no local stores to worry about!

Also good luck getting warranty work done through a company back east.
Alot of Etailers wont even post a phone number so all transaction are via email.
Now live goods go ahead buy 1 fish and pay the shipping.
We are lucky to have the quality LFS we have

Rob, I can only speak for myself, but I'd be fearful of offending an LFS owner to match online pricing. I don't even ask for my MARS discount...

benefit of the galaxy is that it has a 5 year warranty. I think Lumatek has the same 5 year warranty. IceCaps only have a 2 year warranty IIRC.
