my yellow tang has black ick, my blue tang has ick, and mouth rot ( i can see the bone). its a fish only tank, at 1.016, with 0.2 copper. anythroughts? and do anyone know that that lil white flea looking thing running all over the glass?
The continuous running of copper in a home display tank is really not in your and your fish's best interest. As you have discovered, copper only really addresses two main diseases: Marine Ich and Marine Velvet and doesn't't prevent or deter dozens of other conditions, which putting fish through a quarantine process would address.
Having said this, let's just think of this as a tank with fish with multiple afflictions. Each affliction requires medication that is not appropriate for a display tank. This means each fish is removed to its hospital tank and teated for its particular condition.
